Would you read this book based on this prolog?

From the prologue, this book sounds pretty darn good. I understand your concerns about the Japanese - an English book with inserts of another language is always tricky to pull off. However, many successful writers have accomplished it - perhaps if you find a way to integrate the English translation (in just a subtle way, nothing too obvious). However, even with the Japanese, sounds great to me!
