What kind of ghost is this?

I used to live in this house that im pretty sure was haunted. I dontlive there anymore and im just curious. In the middle of the night the screen door would always slam open and shut and everyone would wake up. Then we could hear footsteps going past all the doors and there was nobody there. Then black and red writing would appear on the basement walls. Then, once we got a cat, that all went away. But whenever the cat went outside, the same things started to happen. My friend said there might be a body under the house. IDK. Also, there was always a really eerie feeling in the basement. I didnt believe in ghosts before that but I do now.
