Whats the best way to deal with an insucure husband?

my husband went thru a bad divorce his wife of 20 years cheated on him & left him 4 that man. Now its like I have to constanly reasure him that i'm not going anywhere. He also has to have my attention all the time. But the worst part is when he doesn't he will pout. I'd almost rather have him yell than act like a 5 yr old please help serious answers only thanx
